Screen mode auto-changer software for 98MATE(PC-9821) only.
This is one of the software which realizes what is called 30-line environment.
A higher version can be obtained by Vector software library.
Since the instructions manual is very interesting, I am introducing the old version here. This manual is removed by the latest version.
According to the document, reproduction is free if it is not the profit purpose. However, an ex post facto report is indispensable.
At the newest version, if it is not the profit purpose, it is reproduction freedom by ex post facto report needlessness. Changes the drive of the file for pipes.
In DOS3, the place of temporarily file is not variable. And OASYS Pocket3 is DOS3. Then, this tool is used.
This tool resides permanently on a memory, can detect creation of a pipe by supervising the system call of MS-DOS, and can change it into the drive which specified the drive name of a file at the time of starting temporarily which is made from a pipe.
This program is PDS according to the document. In a source file, the signature of Mr. Pen of P.P.P. is written. It distributes here.

Sort is usually included in DOS. However, it was not attached to OASYS Pocket3. Then, it is this that I have had Pocket3 let it use.

LFNDOS provides the Windows95 Long Filename (LFN) API to DOS programs.
However, this does not work well in Japanese DOS.

A Real-mode driver for Long File Names missed in DOS.
Displaying a Japanese file name exactly differs from above LFNDOS.
Fundamentally, it works by the same structure as above LFNDOS.
In addition, the display of a long Japanese file name is also supported by reading the conversion table of a character code.
In order to use this software for useful purpose, the software for DOS which can process a long name is required. For example, in FCDEL which I made, a long name is displayed exactly.
I am using Vz editor as a filer. This software will become possible displaying a long name, if patches, such as the Takahashi version and the konno version, are applied.
Moreover, it is possible to copy a long file on DOS by using the RCP for DOS which Mr. Si made. But, now formal version of RCP for DOS can copy a long file name only by the command prompt of OS after Win95. Therefore, in order to take for RCP working on Windows, it is required to define an environment variable WINDIR. If Win3.1 is installed, it is just to specify the directory. What is necessary will be just to specify the directory, otherwise, it is good to put in with the definition "SET WINDIR=C:\" etc., into autoexec.bat.
This software is also an imported article. The author is a German. According to the manual, this author also tried above LFNDOS at first. However, a German umlaut was not correctly displayed as well as not displaying Japanese correctly. Then, it is said that this tool has been made.
And this software also makes reduction of residence size the target. The residence size of LFNDOS is about 60KB.
Moreover, the long file name on CD-ROM is also supported.
It also has some demerits, though regrettable.
For example, LFNDOS works DOS3.3 and later, but DOSLFN works DOS4 and later.
And, DOSLFN works only by 80386 and later.

This is the NFS server which works on Windows95.
NFS is a major file-sharing system in UNIX. The file of a machine which worked this server can be accessed from other machines. But the client software of NFS is needed for other machine side. If it is a UNIX machine, it will be able to obtain easily. In the case of other OS's, please look for freeware and commercial software.
I am using for connecting Windows95 and DOS machine. I bought the commercial NFS client software which works on DOS. It was for connecting my personal computer to LAN of a company. When the network in a home was built, I considered how WIN95 and DOS would be connected. I am looking for the server software which can utilize effectively this client software that it already had, and I found this freeware.
If this system is used on DOS, the file of other machines can treat just like its own machine. Therefore, the text file of other machines can also be edited by Vz editor which is pure DOS application.
However, I feel that the SOSS is more nearly major as an NFS server which works on Windows95. Although I also got SOSS recently, since changing is troublesome, so it has not tried.
By the way, the company which made this software is continued still now. As for the company, sale of 3D graphics software seems to be a main occupation. The software "TrueGrid PRO NFS Server" was sold by WEB before. And this freeware version can seem that it had come download freely as the experience version. But now, as these NFS servers' software has had support closed, it does not exist on WEB. Supposing you need, please download from Italy.
